MARYLAND THETA AWARDS TRAVEL GRANTS TO GRADUATING MEMBERSThe Maryland Theta Chapter at the University of Maryland University College is pleased to announce the winners of its 2018 Travel Grants. The two travel grants ($300 each) are awarded to graduating Maryland Theta members who plan to travel at least 100 miles to attend a commencement ceremony. This year's recipients are: Alexandra Azucena, who travelled from Boston, MA to Adelphi, MD for her commencement ceremony in May. Mayumi Kurata, who travelled from Iwakuni, Japan to Tokyo for her commencement ceremony in April. In addition, the chapter is awarding two $100 travel grants to Brittney Bozman from Princess Anne, Maryland and Mark Yantz from North Carolina. Both of these members will be attending May commencement in Adelphi, MD. Congratulations to all of the recipients of the Maryland Theta travel grants! Katherine Im, Program Chair of Sociology, Behavioral Sciences, and Gerontology, and Regional Chancellor on the Pi Gamma Mu Board of Trustees is the Chapter Faculty Sponsor. |
