CHAPTER NEWS

This issue contains updates from The Catholic University of America (DC Alpha), Dominican College (NY Mu), and Wayne State College (NE Delta).

The DC Alpha Chapter at The Catholic University of America held an induction ceremony on April 26, 2022.  The event went was a big success.  The chapter inducted 87 members in their spring membership drive.  Dr. Abby Adler Mandel is the Chapter Faculty Sponsor.

The New York Mu Chatper at Dominican College had a successful induction ceremony this spring.  Dr. Christopher Libertini is the chapter faculty sponsor.  Enjoy the photos below:

The Nebraska Delta Chapter at Wayne State College held another great service project this year.  In the spring semester, the chapter helped the Partners for Patriots service project on campus.  The chapter collected donations to assist the program which takes in shelter dogs and trains them as service dogs for veterans. 

“Each year, your Pi Gamma Mu Nebraska Delta chapter tries to do a service project that involves supporting veterans, the homeless, or animal shelters”, Dr. Randy Bertolas, the adviser for the chapter, said.  “In recent years we’ve arranged donations to both Haven House and the Norfolk Rescue Mission.”

Bertolas credits Wayne State College online student, Celeste Durant, for this idea, which benefits both veterans and shelter animals.  Because of the chapter’s good work, $250 was donated to the program.
