THE FUND FOR AMERICAN STUDIES EXTENDS ITS APPLICATION DEADLINE

Applications are being accepted for the Summer 2014 LIVE. LEARN. INTERN. programs in Washington, D. C.  Students will earn up to 9 credits, are guaranteed an internship placement, and live in furnished housing just steps from the White House and Department of State.

Students work on a variety of issues at over 300 different federal agencies, policy groups, international affairs organizations, media outlets, public affairs firms, government relations offices, and nonprofits.  Each program includes courses for transferable credit from George Mason University, a guaranteed internship placement and furnished housing on George Washington University's downtown campus, just steps from the White House and State Department.

Each program also includes lectures, briefings, and networking opportunities with top D.C. insiders and policy experts.  Over $1 million in scholarship funding is awarded to students based on financial need and merit each year.  Nominate students for special consideration online at www.DCinternships.org/Nominate

Over 70% of student participants receive scholarship awards based on financial need and merit. The final deadline to apply has been extended to April 4, 2014.
