A MESSAGE FROM PGM FIRST VICE-PRESIDENT, SUSAN KINSELLA: PLAN TO ATTEND THE 2020 CONVENTIONHello Pi Gamma Mu Chapters, Your Pi Gamma Mu Board of Trustees is busy preparing for the 2020 Triennial Convention to be held next year, Thursday, November 12th through Saturday, November 14th in the Washington, D.C. area. We have booked a wonderful hotel, an Embassy Suites, in Crystal City, a suburb of Washington. We have plans for a Leadership Development Program at the hotel beginning Thursday afternoon, for those students interested in some extra activity. We have plenty of social events planned for later in the evening with a Networking Event from graduate schools, vendors, and other professional organizations. The President's Welcome Reception will follow with Pi Gamma Mu bingo, some icebreakers, and exchange of chapter bling. At the last convention, students brought tee shirts, hats, and other items from their schools that they exchanged with other chapters. This was so much fun we want to do it again. A student caucus will allow students to learn about becoming a Pi Gamma Mu student board member for a 3-year period with elections held during the convention. We have student papers planned for presentations in a special downtown Washington location on Friday. An awards dinner and keynote speaker will follow on the beautiful campus of Catholic University of America on Friday evening. Saturday morning will bring student poster presentations and faculty sharing of chapter ideas at the hotel breakfast. A trip to the Marine Corps Museum will follow for those in the Leadership Program. Others may choose to check out the Washington area highlights. Talk to your chapters now about a trip to the 2020 Pi Gamma Mu Triennial International Convention, A Vision for the Future.
