NATIONAL SERVICE PROJECT

Please join other chapters in the Pi Gamma Mu Service Project!

Chapters are working together to support veterans, the homeless and animals in animal shelters. Chapters may either choose to do one of the three components of the service project or may choose to participate in all three of the service project components.


Descriptions of the national service project are listed below. Should you have any questions, please contact Allison G. S. Knox, Chancellor of the Southeast Region and point of contact for the Pi Gamma Mu Service Project initiative.

Homeless Box Drive - chapters contact an organization in support of the homeless and put together a donation box full of supplies the organization can use.  The supplies are donated to an organization in support of the homeless from September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

Veterans - chapters contact a Department of Veterans Affairs hospital and collect toiletries and soft cover books in support of the veterans. Supplies are donated to a Department of Veterans Affairs hospital from September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

Animals - chapters will contact an animal shelter in their area and will put together a donation box full of supplies the organization can use. The supplies are donated to an animal shelter from September 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021.

Annual Report
Chapters are encouraged to include the details of their service project in their Annual Report. Chapters that submit their Annual Report will be considered for Pi Gamma Mu's Roll of Distinction and Roll of Merit Awards!  Be sure to turn your Annual Report in by August 15, 2021!
